Social and Emotional Wellbeing
Compassionately connecting with ourselves and others encourages mutual understanding, collaboration and trust. This is the foundation for good mental and physical health and the key to fulfilling our potential.
Resilience
Being intraconnected with our bodies, minds, hearts and spirits brings internal strength and confidence to adapt and flourish in the midst of life's challenges. When challenges come we are resourced to meet them with courage, compassion and curiosity, knowing the perseverance we gain builds maturity and grace.
Self-Compassion
Blending and balancing self-awareness without judgement, inward kindness without striving and commitment to caring for ourselves, empowers us to live authentically connected to ourselves and others.
Communication Skills
Using Non-Violent Communication principles to develop and strengthen trust, empathy and understanding for ourselves and others. Using a needs-based perspective we connect heart to heart to enrich our relationships both personally and professionally.
Neurodiversity Empowerment
Bringing clarity and understanding that neurodiversity is a vital and enriching part of human variation empowers people from a strengths based perspective. This promotes the creation of a more equitable and inclusive society enabling everyone to thrive.
Successful Transitions
Navigating and thriving through the many transitions in life requires courage, self-trust and wisdom for the best outcomes for ourselves and others. Courageous collaboration is needed to embrace change and provide the support needed to effectively adapt to new situations.
Conflict Resolution
Social and emotional wisdom is used to understand the root causes of conflict, the different perspectives of those involved and the impacts on each one, in order to find solutions for connection and collaboration in our personal and professional lives.
Leadership Development
Cultivating key skills of leadership to guide, inspire and bring out the best in others using emotional wisdom, authenticity and vulnerability, trust building, effective communication and strategic planning. This involves a balanced blend of visionary insight and practical action.
Relational Trust
Trust develops welcoming, engaging and positive learning environments where everyone can flourish. Trust enables mutual respect and care and open two-way communication promoting psychological safety and a sense of belonging. Trust is at the heart of all healthy relationships.
We are able to build a bespoke package for your individual needs.
Our work is based on the understanding and application of Neuroscience, Trauma-Informed Practice and Connection.
Neuroscience
Understanding how our brains and nervous systems function and maintain good health is vital for our social and emotional wellbeing. It results in more self-awareness, increasing self-compassion, empowering us to embrace who we are and live with passion and purpose. Neuroscience helps us understand how our brains process information, make decisions and experience emotions, which can help us understand human behaviour to know how to improve our mental health and well-being.
Trauma Informed Practice
Our work is created and delivered taking into account how trauma affects all of us. We carefully build mutual trust and respect to empower people within choice and collaboration to embrace who they are for healing and restoration of identity, abilities and purpose. We understand the impact of trauma on students' learning, behaviour and well-being and the importance of creating safe, supportive and inclusive environments which promote resilience, advocacy and empowerment.
Connection
From our beginning, we are biologically wired for connection - our brains and bodies are designed to look for and flourish in relationships with empathy, co-operation and love. Our whole well-being depends on positive social connections which influence our physical and mental health, engagement and ability to learn, leading to academic achievement, resilience, collaboration, a sense of belonging and purpose and overall longevity.
Lorraine's Story:
"I have been studying or working in Education all my life and am passionate about the transformative power of Education in people's lives. We all remember teachers who made a positive difference to our own experiences in Education. Education is, of course, a lifelong adventure, opening doors to opportunities for us to discover more and release to the world our unique gifts and talents. Education has never been more under threat than it is now, with unparalleled levels of poor mental health and increasing barriers to accessing education for students as well as overwhelming stress and burn-out for staff. It is time to reclaim our resilience, well-being, passion and connection to why Education Matters and how to fulfil our purpose within it. Equipped with the appropriate, powerful tools, both students and staff can gain new vision, compassionately work together and achieve more than they believe is possible. Accessible, life-changing, fulfilling Education is not only a human right, it is "The most powerful weapon you can use to change the world" (Nelson Mandela). The transformative power of Education is described well by Malala Yousafzai, a well-known Education advocate, "One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world."
